The Target Audience
Communication is a two-way process, there is an element of speaking and receiving. We need to choose words that work and a tone of voice and body language that empathises with the receiver of the information. First things first then, we need to know who it is we are ‘speaking’ to. Who is our audience, what is their make up, how might they understand our message!
Feel free to request the templates laura@thehiddenedge.co.uk. I am happy to share.
1. Consider the relevance of your offer to your audience
2. Identify exactly who your audience is – whether that’s an audience of one or of many
3. Remember that even if you are B2B you are still presenting to a person or persons. Know the psychology of audience, the language they are likely to use, their work ethic, their business offer, and how they interact with their clients
Please do share your experiences with these models in the comments below. I am building a portfolio of small business case studies and would love to include examples of what has worked well for you.
