Team Performance & Accountability
Making sure you know how you will manage your business growth is really important. You will have heard the quote attributed to Peter Drucker – “If you can’t measure it you can’t manage it?” For the purpose of this video I have used the Rainmaker as the example. They are an expensive resource and you need to get the best return on your investment.
Feel free to request the templates laura@thehiddenedge.co.uk
1. Consider the benchmark standard, for that of your own business. If you have no history, find out your industry standards
2. Populate a customer relationship management system that identifies the key measurements if only your own spreadsheets.
3. Diarise regular progress meetings to discuss with the team and individuals the current positions
4. Identify challenges and solutions, celebrate successes
I’m not advocating you manage your business just with numbers only but they are a neat guide for the probing question. Without them you are flying blind.
Please share your experiences with this model in the comments below. I am building a portfolio of small business case studies and would love to include examples of what has worked well for you.
