The person specification outlines the type of person required to be successful in role in terms of the skills, knowledge, attitudes, personal attributes, behaviours, experience and qualifications. The essential qualities are those that the candidate must possess and the desirable ones are those that will enhance a candidate’s application. 1. Recognise the traits of a great Rainmaker for your business
2. Get underneath the skin of the Rainmaker and what makes them tick
3. Create a person specification that illustrates the essential and desirable qualifications, skills, personal attributes, experience and knowledge
4. Recognise that not all aspects need to be essential providing you provide training to fill in the gaps
