So Lost – (Six-Sentence Story#144)
Lost in the Ocean; we despair
But keep going at any cost.
Despite, that all hope is quite lost
And the dream is now a nightmare.
Acting on a wing and a prayer
Will no longer keep us afloat.
To quit may well stick in the throat,
So breathe deep – to quieten the qualm.
Things will settle … if we keep calm.
Pangs will pale … as lessons connote.

What a frightening situation. I hope by some miracle they will be rescued. Well done.

Being lost on a real or metaphorical ocean would be most unpleasant. Either way, I hope for rescue!

Wow. A most dark and stormy, perilous Six, Laura! You have me fearing for their survival. Well done.

Your poem has a stoical undertone. Life can be tough and messy at times but “Things will settle … if we keep calm.” Great poetic piece!
