Weekly Smile – (TTC #818)
We had friends to stay on Saturday night. They had met up with their oldies in Weymouth for a cuddly catch up earlier that day, then came to ours for supper, gossip and a game or two of cards. 😊
They bought 19 Crimes, chocolate and rum infused red wine (not in the same bottle). Tasty! We provided a rather sumptuous beef bourguignon. With hindsight – the wine position might have been better proffered with the Bailey’s cheesecake that Boyfriend had crafted for pud. Hey ho! You live and learn! 😂
The following day, after a rather full English, we planned a walk down the coastal path into Weymouth town centre. The route we normally take, passes through the caravan park to the sea shore at Bowlease. But we thought we might be able to take the top path. Sadly, my sense of direction escaped me and we couldn’t work whereabouts we were. After many false turns and a couple of dead ends, we finally found our way out of the park onto the Coastal Path where we would have been if we’d taken the usual route. Pah! 🥴
This is the halfway stop to Weymouth town centre – The Spyglass, where we always stop to refresh ….
So very lovely to see these two, and reciprocate the hospitality they extended to us during the Beautiful Day Festival, earlier this year, mid August.
