Weekly Smile – (TTC #755 & Blogtober #18)
We are well over half-way through the Whole30 reset diet and … I suspect that my food intolerances are for those that are included in the ‘can have’ list – it (the list) is not that long! It’s feeling like I’m jumping through a continuous hula hoop relay with no noticeable gain. 😏
Boyfriend, however, is thoroughly enjoying the challenge and even went to watch his rugby team lose 71/17 without so much as a sniff of a beer! He is the chief cook and bottle washer in this house and has been testing the recipes and honing his skills at paste mixing to make gravies, sauces and, indeed, mayonnaise. He are never going back to shop bought; he has said. 😉
He hasn’t tried the Whole30 ketchup yet; to date we’ve gone without the age old favourite Heinz 57, but there is still time; and chips are really no fun without ketchup, are they? 😛
Tonight we’ve had jacket potato with clarified butter and a tomato chicken stew. Just perfect for the foul weather that’s enclosed us this evening. It was just what we needed; true autumnal comfort food! Yum! 😊

Post inspired by Trent’s Weekly Smile. Although he’s not playing today …

And this post also includes Di’s Monday Three Things Challenge #755 The prompts: HOOP, FOUL, PASTE. Do click through for the rules if you too, would like to join in.

And linking with The Saxophone Player’s Wife #Blogtober troupe, for encouragement!

oh my! food intolerances and health issues that ban foods, makes like a bit difficult. Soon we might get help in how to navigate and still enjoy eating. (my husband is our main chef – I’m the bottle washer 😉)
Well done!

Thanks Ruth, I am sticking with it, I can put up with tummy ache for a bit longer, you never know it might come good by the end – Boyfriend is doing so well. His sky high blood pressure is almost normal in just 3 weeks. That’s got to be good? 🤗
