Life’s not always fair … (Tanka Tuesday)
Cheat not on fair rules –
Give all every chance to shine;
Toe the starting line.
-o0o-
Toe the starting line –
Get set and ready to go;
When the horn doth blow.
-o0o-
When the horn doth blow –
All launch forth and must believe;
No one will deceive.
-o0o-
No one will deceive –
Nor assume any for fools;
Cheat not on fair rules.

Poem prompted by Colleen’s Tanka Tuesday Challenge. This week’s is Poet’s Choice. Click through on the link if you, too, would like to join in.

Whist this is well out of date – it was inspired by Ronovan’s weekly haiku prompt Toe and Line.

I really liked the type of haiku. I am a sucker for the kinds of poetry where lines repeat. It adds something I think.

Laura, this is wonderful! I just stopped by Ronovan’s blog and read about his creative Shi-rensa haiku. Wonderful creativity for both of you. ❤
