Pouting – (Tanka Tuesday #219)
Spring breeze pouts …
Cherry Blossoms dance,
Heavenly.
(Lune – Haiku))

This post is inspired by Colleen’s Weekly Tanka Challenge #219 This week we are to craft a Haiku or Senyru. Click through for the rules, if you too, would like to join in …
Best season to visit Japan (when the ban lifts) And your tanka Tuesday poem is so precious. The picture as well fits it to a T. Thanks for sharing it. Selma ( https://selmamartin.com )

This is marvelous. I like when you combine lines one and two… then lines two and three—you get another meaning! That’s the surprise… the aha moment. ❤

Thank you Selma. We ‘did’ Japan in the Autumn 2019 – would have loved to have seen the Spring blossoms but the Rugby World Cup prevailed. 😉

I hope it helps. I’ve been researching these forms for my book. I know some people just want to write seventeen syllables without following the rules. I get that. But for some of us haiku and senryu are art forms. 😍🙏🏻❤️are
