When the darkness towards you crowds;

Lift up your head, to face the fear,

Look out for light, to give you cheer.

Where ever the gloom cloaks and shrouds,

Most oft around the thickest clouds –

To make life seem much less grimmer …

Are silver linings that shimmer.

They countervail the current climes;

Offering hope for brighter times,

Their iridescent lights – glimmer.
