The Prize Ch#39 – (Just one thing)
Set aside the Auschwitz wallow,
Make the most of what you have got,
When one slice of bread is your lot,
Eat slowly, savour, each swallow,
And, save a bit, for tomorrow.
Then you will have, a ‘thing’ to bide,
And a place, where you may just hide,
The precious that you, so much prize,
(Eyes twinkling with certain surprise)
The charm from the mother – who died.

The Post has been inspired by If I Could Tell You Just One Thing by Richard Reed.
Over the 62 days, in Dec and Jan, my challenge is to share the learning from each of the 62 chapters; hopefully in a poem, but who knows? Follow my progress with the #JustOneThing Tag
Happy to explore what you make of the post in the comments below? 🙂
