1. Organisational Culture

In this context, culture is the social behaviour and norms found in your business. They are transmitted through social learning and will demonstrate the true values of your business.  Choosing the right set of values for your business model and communicating them well, will help you recruit and retain effective teams and engaged customers.

  • Discuss Cameron & Quinn’s Organisational Culture Assessment Inventory

2. Ethics and CSR

A company has an economic responsibility: it must earn a return for its shareholders within the confines of the law. However, corporate social responsibility means that businesses have also ethical and societal responsibilities that go beyond their financial ones. Corporate Social Responsibility requires businesses to consider all stakeholders such as employees, customers, suppliers, their communities and their environmental impact. Ethics is a crucial component of the behaviours that a business adopts as its corporate social responsibility.

During this session you will:

  • Identify the social demands on your company
  • Compare Carroll & Drucker’s approaches to CRS
  • Plot conflicting issues on a Robinson’s business ethic star
  • Discuss an approach to whistle blowing
