Discovery – (Tanka Tuesday #231)
Try every which way;
Be forever curious;
Leave no stone unturned –
You’ll never know what you’ll find,
In your search for a breakthrough.
(Tanka)

Poem prompted by Colleen’s Tanka Tuesday Challenge #231. This weeks theme “Discovery”. Click through on the link if you, too, would like to join in.

What a lovely tanka! Remember, in Japanese poetry we don’t capitalize the first letter in each line. I love the pivot: “Leave no stone unturned.” It really speaks to the act of discovery. Well done. ❤

Thank you, Colleen. I have always found capitalisation an enigma. Learning as I go along 🤭

Thank you, Elizabeth. It could have (just as easily) fit that theme. 🤗

No worries. WordPress and Word, works against us poets capitalizing the fist letter of each word. Before long, it will be automatic to you. ❤️
