Troglodyte – (Weekly Writing Prompt #189)

I love living here on the outskirts of Weymouth.  I think, it is creeping into the 21st century but not without some creaking and groaning. I’m not saying that we are backward troglodytes here in deepest, darkest Dorset, but I can’t say we embrace change with open arms either.

We seem to lose our kids, after they go off to college, in search of excitement and their pot of gold. Then, they return, only at Christmas or … when they want to settle down in this nice sleepy, seaside town to bring up their own children.
