Kaleidoscope – (Six Sentence Story)
To the Summer we bid farewell,
Whilst waving hello to the Fall.
As kaleidoscope hues enthral,
Halloween weaves its wicked spell.
Bellies of seas and dark lakes swell.
That final harvest will portend,
That Autumn is the deadly end.
As Winter’s need to batten down,
The mood descends from smile to frown.
Anxious – for Spring warmth to ascend.

Autumn is a sweet good bye to summer and gentle reminder that winter cold is on its way.
Very nice!

Autumn is my favourite time of year until the clocks go back… I wonder if it’s my grim determination not to acknowledge the dark months.

Whatever gets us through. Consider the fractals of snowflakes on a mitten? The chill of one, captured by your tongue?
