de Bono’s 6 Thinking Hats and Facilitation

Whilst successful negotiation relies heavily on you being prepared, there are skills you can adopt to help facilitate the discussion, proposal and bargaining processes.  I love Edward de Bono’s Six Thinking Hats as a simple framework. It helps all those involved in the negotiation to keep the meeting focussed on the objectives without causing offence.

1. Review the video to recognise the four stages in the negotiation process and how the Six Thinking Hats can help you facilitate the meeting
