Find wisdom from a distant guise,

Step back, observe with open eyes.

Let a distant perspective rise –

When in strife and melancholy,

An outsider’s lens helps embrace,

A broader scope, a grander place.

A shift in stance, or change of pace –

Helps unfold a bigger picture.

The mentor’s eye can comprehend,

So take your own advice, my friend.

Extend the help you would commend –

In moments when your spirit’s tied.
