Weekly Smile – (TTC #993)
Friends, Lindy and Steve made it round, Saturday, for a much needed catchup on life, the universe and world events. Over vegetarian moussaka, and courgette a la Grecque followed by home-made, Rhubarb cake; friendly banter, inevitably moved onto conspiracy theories, and how politics and big business plays the “Squid Game” with us mere minions. There was no debate, just various opinions spouted and agreed upon. 😝
A swift tour of the gardens, is always part of our catch ups. They dutifully doffed much awe at the potential glut of strawberries; depending of course on our ability to halt the snails in their slimy tracks, and that of the woodlice. Note to self to remove the erroneous tentacles before strawberries invade the ‘entire’ plot. 😅
Last, but by no means least, our guests purveyed the front garden project. Cobble stone border now cemented and stepping stones positioned, we are developing the tapestry lawn. Many a plant has been chosen for its propensity and/or inset evergreen ground coverage. The ‘Ground Ivy’ has taken root, big-time (we didn’t even seed that) alongside the Camomile. Just wondering if the creeping thyme will prevail? 😂 Heyho!

How lovely to be growing strawberries! My first husband had a knack with them and little else, but Hubby and my efforts were pinched by a very cheeky blackbird!
Thanks for the inclusion Laura. have a great week!
