The garden winked this weekend; the weather was too good to ignore it.  We set to the back lawn with shears for a short back and sides.  A few obvious dandies were hoiked out and filled, fingers crossed for a green sweep of lawn as the summer arrives, and we each take a chair, relax and watch it grow.  If only eh? 😊

In the meantime, here I am taking a sneaky seat, whilst supervising boyfriend working on this year’s major project; the front garden.  The plans include a new cobble stone border, a tapestry lawn, and a natural log pile. 😌

We decided that rather than slipping between two stools; since we can’t beat the daisies, we should join them with other pretty weeds, creating a patchwork swathe of colourful ground cover.  We are feeling a tad smug as it appears to be quite fashionable at the moment not to mow, and give bees a chance.  😇
