Having started a huge project at the beginning of 2020 in the back garden, we are pleased that the end is almost in sight. Most of the work we have done ourselves – when I say we – I do the supervising. We got a couple of lads in to relay the patio which would have been winking at us now, if we hadn’t. To be honest it was worth the money.

We are determined to be ready for a new lawn to be laid in the spring. This week, we had two days of unexpected sunshine – what a treat! It was cold, of course, but we weren’t going to sneer at the opportunity to crack on – especially when you can have a hot bath afterwards.

Big smile from the progress we made in those two days – it’s remarkable how suddenly everything comes together isn’t it?
