Weekly Smile – (3TC #454)
It’s been a week of myriad smiles. Yay! Although I do have to confess to having sobbed over a soppy film on Saturday called “About Time”. I have subsequently bought it on DVD so that I can make Boyfriend watch it – when it is my choice on a Film Friday night. 🤣
Boyfriend and I went out for the obligatory neighbourhood Christmas lights walk – the clear winner has to be Dennis, the founder of the Fantastic Sausage Factory. Can anyone beat this? 😎

The next day, I received this beautiful ‘bunch’ of flowers through the letter box (how do they do that?) from the team I work with at the marvellous Media Lounge. 🤗

I also had a surprise doorstep call from my business buddy Chris and his girlfriend Sian. They had met up with his folks for a walk from their home in Devon and decided to swing by mine, for a covid distanced wave and a happy holiday wish. 😊
My Toastmasters club, Casterbridge Speakers hosted a fancy dress session on Zoom and Kim from Streetwise HR hosted a Christmas quiz catch up on Teams. It was hilarious watching the home life anecdotes of those with kids, dogs and husbands in Christmas Jumpers. 🤓

I did have a silly session on Thursday, when I went for a hospital appointment. It was nothing to do with diabetes but I had a really bad hypo just after I arrived. Totally disorientated, my left leg collapsed and I fell to the pavement scraping both knees. Luckily for me two nurses swooped in on my distress; in unison helped me inside, got me some mini Mars bars and a black coffee with sugar. Awe I love the NHS! 🥰

Hi Laura,
hope you are none the worst for your fall. Your flowers are beautiful, and that light display totally awesome! Have a good week and Merry Christmas

Thanks Di – knees are a bit bruised but the tumble hasn’t stopped Covid Christmas Contingencies being instigated! 😇 Merry Christmas to both of you too.

Yay! Nor us. We’ll have a good Christmas because we always do, even when things seem against us. We have each other, and that’s what’s important.

Goodness! Hope you are ok – tumbles are terrible things and so hard on the body!
Thank you for sharing your lovely flowers and the impressive neighbourhood display.
