Weekly Smile – (3TC #414)
Finally, the weather vane stopped whizzing round on its pole. For the last couple of weeks we’ve suffered the tail end of Hurricane Zeta followed immediately by Storm Aiden, so we’d been expecting a battened-down lockdown weekend.
Much to our surprise and delight the wind dropped and the sun poked its head out from the clouds several times. It meant we could cross off another one of those outside jobs. My role, of course, is supervising; you know, that quiet word in the other half’s ear when, he goes off half cock without a measuring tape and spirit level.
To be honest he is not terribly keen when I take him in tow, and it’d be a lot easier if he listened to me in the first place than have to redo the work because it is not level or straight. He smiles, resignedly, when I tease him with his nickname ‘Bodge it’.
It’s worth the agro though – I love the final result. Big grin.

Lovely! Thanks for playing along.

The respite between storms is filled up with projects.. At least they got a smile! As I would say not having a storm overhead would….

Hey … there’s lot more indoor jobs than out, on my list, that will bring a twinkle to my eye … Winter’s on its way so we’re making hay whenever the sun shines! 😄

I take a look at your prompt most days … for some bizarre reason the Monday ones inspire my gratitude! So thank you Di.

lol, I hear you. I spent every minute I could outdoors this weekend, but I spend my time “playing” instead of getting outdoor work done…
