Weekly Smile – (3TC #393)
I have always avoided the flu jab, until this year. I’ve been a type-one diabetic for 40 years and have had more than my fair share of needles in my life. Having been relatively healthy for those 40 years, I had a sense of invincibility. Moreover, I had been a tad concern that I’d react to the flu inoculation and need some time-off work.
This year, I decided I shouldn’t add to the NHS workload, that my compromised immune system would inevitably cause, should I catch the flu. They have enough to deal with, without my not taking the opportunity to reduce the risk. So, I had the jab. I’ve been fine. Big smile!

Post inspired by Pensitivity’s Three Thing Challenge – needles, jab, inoculation. Click through for the rules if you, too, would like to join in.

It also links nicely into Trent’s Weekly Smile Challenge … Click through for the rules if you, too, would like to join in.

Wise decision. Just had mine too. Happy Monday.

My wife is out in public more than I am and got the flu shot last week. I may get one, later and WILL get a covid-19 shot when they are available. Anyway, good for you for protecting yourself and thinking of the healthcare system 🙂
