Weekly Smile – (TTC #M384)

Sadly, it been a long while since I made my last confession/TTC/Weekly Smile! …

The thing is – life is starting to get back to normal. I’d love to say that it means perfection but, as we all know, that ain’t the case. I’m not talking about Covid – rather the inconvenience of having the kitchen refitted. The last TTC – Weekly Smile was mid waiting for the fitters to arrive. It was done with modifications dead on time for the four girlfriends from school to arrive in May. Sighing whistle of relief … 🤗

However … Boyfriend’s plan not to do anything more in the house until next year came to an abrupt end, the week after they left, when the shower in our ensuite blew up. Shoot and other expletives! Now, this was not an immediate calamity as we do have a shower in the bathroom, but since I let my guest room out in the summer, time is now of the essence! 🤪

I may as well have yodelled to get things coordinated and completed in time for each of contractors involved in this project. It has been more stressful and almost as expensive as the kitchen fit out (and I thought that was bad!). It is now ready for painting. That’s my job and whilst I would have liked to have illustrated the finished article – this is where I have got to right now! 😜

With thanks to Di’s 3TC prompts: YODEL, WHISTLE, CALAMITY, Click through for the rules if you’d like to join in.

And also linking to Trent’s weekly smile … Do click through for the rules for either, if you too, would like to join in.

  1. Good to see a post from you Laura. Can compare notes as far as bathrooms are concerned………… we took our bath out and put in a shower cubicle. It took longer than we thought but it’s good! Hope you are keeping well and thanks for joining in today.
