Weekly Smile – (TTC #762)
Last weekend, Boyfriend took Franny up to Bath to watch his team lose at Rugby again; making way for a girlie weekend with my Mum and Sis. It is the first time Mum has been to Weymouth for the best part of 10 years. She was only coming for two nights but it did look like she’d packed the kitchen sink. Good job Sis has a pretty roomy car. Mind you, Willow, Mum’s gorgeous hearing dog takes up a good couple of seats, with all of her paraphernalia. 😉
When they arrived on Friday, Mum had a tour of the ‘estate’, approving all the renovations Boyfriend and I have done over the previous 18 months, inside and, of course, outside in the garden. Then, Saturday we took advantage of a surprisingly beautiful day, for a coastal drive. We stopped off at a rinky dinky cafe for refreshments before heading back for slow cooked Moroccan chicken. 🤪
Sunday, I dusted off the Samhain decs, filled the skull with sweeties, lit a candle and waited for the tricksters. We chuckled from behind the dining room curtain as we spotted a couple of kiddies on the brink of coming up the garden path. When they heard Willow, they had a sudden change of heart. Hilarious … as, whilst Willow has an ear shattering bark, she is much more likely to lick you to death. Look at her?
