Weekly Smile – (3TC #538)
If you have been following my Weekly Smile journal – you’ll know that last week was spent with my mother; her having been discharged from hospital with a newly pinned hip. This 90-year-old biddy has made a remarkable recovery and appears to be a lot more ‘with it’ than she was before the ‘fall’. It would seem that the frustration of many an odd ailment has been resolved during her short time in hospital. Yay … always look on the bright side of life!
Together, we considered the back log of paperwork which had been built up since Dad departed in May and ‘debated’ the choices open to us. It was quite hard work if I am honest … but we have got a lot sorted out. My Sis took over the mantel on Saturday, brought Willow the hearing dog back and, me? I went home.
I am suffering a little from burnout right now but do love that I’ve sorted Mum’s paper backlog and … having wandered around the garden, I’m loving the early Spring growth – this so makes me smile.

Ah. Good work. You deserve some self care now!! Pain can make lots of other things flare up. Iām impressed that your mom is doing so well!! Definitely a smile.

Glad your mom’s doing better and you are getting through the paper work, though the early spring growth would be what would make me smile…
Somehow this got missed last week – do you want me to add it to last week’s round up or put it in with this week’s? Not a problem saving it and no problem having two in the same week.
