Weekly Smile – (3TC #531)
I am a bit late today, because I have been looking after my dear old Mum! She came out of hospital on Friday, having had her left hip pinned back together. She fell over in the garden, when she was bringing the washing in. Doh!
Remarkably, she is getting herself up, washed and breakfasted all by herself … already; such is this mighty, feisty lady. Unlike the rest of us, who have been climbing the four walls in Covid contained displeasure; she has been on a road trip, met up with all sorts of wonderful caring and interested people, has been waited upon hand and foot and … in her own words has had a great laugh over the 9 days away.
She is missing Willow, her four legged, ‘hearing’ friend desperately. I wish Mum could see her too. But she’s with my Sister for the week, whilst Mum finds her feet and can steady herself, when the exuberant bundle of black curls, pink tongue and waggy tail launches herself around the house.
In the meantime, Mum has got me and my great big smile!

Thank you, Di – she is 90 and still going at pretty much that speed per hour even now!!! I may need to add a video to prove it …

Sorry your mom broke her hip, but it sounds like the recovery is going well so far. I hope she continues to heal and can see Willow soon!

Hope your mom feels better. ❤️ It’s amazing how active she is at 90 – I feel like I barely get anything done at 1/3rd her age. 🙈
Really cute photo! Hope you two are having fun together.

To be fair … we both think we are looking old. But hey – we are still here and breathing. 😇

Thank you so much Diana – my Sister brought Willow the hearing dog back and took over at the weekend. Mum had a lovely Mother’s day with the waggy dog. She’s doing so well.
