Fright – (Weekly Decima Prompt #29)

Turning white as a sheet, in fright,

I get myself in such a flap,

Falling into that nightmare trap,

When strange things go bump in the night.

And whilst it may seem rather trite;

That shadow IS a witches hat,

That Hunter’s moon highlights a bat,

Encircling its spider prey.

Don’t worry, it WILL be ok –

That thump’s just Jack, my bruiser cat!
